I read an article recently that stated 71% of U.S. companies did research online before making a purchasing decision with another company. If that number doesn’t shock you, keep reading. According to a survey conducted by Forrester Research and GSI Commerce, 67% of Twitter followers and 51% of Facebook fans are more likely to buy from the brands and companies they know and follow. I know what you’re probably thinking…”I don’t have time for social media”. “I have to run a business!” If you’ve ever found yourself saying any of those words, then you might as well put a “CLOSED” sign on your door and just give up. Listen to me closely…YOU CAN’T AFFORD TO NOT BE ON SOCIAL MEDIA! You need to attract as many customers as possible. If you want to be a success, hire people, take care of your family, donate to your church, buy nice things, etc. you have to commit to taking massive levels of action!
Insane levels of action is the only way you will ever get someone to know you and eventually buy from you. I once called a man 20 times before winning his business. If I had given up after two calls(which is actually about the average amount of calls people make), I would never had been able to help him grow his business with my products and services. Dedicate as much time as you possibly can to promoting and spreading your products and services to others. Do whatever it takes to get people to know you! If that means you knock on doors, then knock on as many doors as it takes until your knuckles start bleeding. If it means you pick up the phone, then you dial that phone so hard the phone company tells you you’ve hit your limit. Bottom line, you need to persist into the marketplace with massive action. You owe it to your business, employees, family, friends, community and most importantly yourself to take extreme levels of action to grow your business. Roughly 80% of businesses fail in America according to Forbes. People are going to blame the economy, their managers, fellow co-workers, their products, Obama, Congress, Martha Stewart or even the tooth-fairy for their failures, but it’s all a load of crap. The reason so many businesses fail is because they don’t take massive action to grow their business.
