Business Development

Business Promotion with LinkedIn Articles

I don’t know about you, but I want to be known as THE go-to guy in my industry! When people think of business development or sales, I want them to picture me. Now, I have a long way to go, but there are some powerful tools at my arsenal that I can deploy to get there. The number one weapon is LinkedIn.

LinkedIn is the “king” when it comes to social networking. I love using LinkedIn because I can connect with like-minded entrepreneurs that want to be successful like myself. Don’t get me wrong, there are some other great tools out there like Facebook, Snapchat and Google Plus (which I use as well), but LinkedIn is the most professional setting in my experience to drop valuable content for my connections and audience.

Everyone has a talent or a skill that makes them stand-out. If you do not share that skill with others, then you are not living up to your full potential. Make it your duty to spread your ideas and skills with the world….and make sure you use LinkedIn to do so. There are over 400 million users on LinkedIn, and ever article or post you write/share is another opportunity to tap into that huge pool of professionals to connect and conduct business with. LinkedIn is a source that I personally go to when I want to make professional friendships, learn something new, get inspired, and even do market research. According to a study done by TechCrunch, LinkedIn was ranked the third fastest growing social network in the world behind only Instagram and Reddit. More people are joining LinkedIn every day, and its users are becoming more active by the minute.

Also not everyone is posting articles on LinkedIn. Therefore, when you post and share your ideas you are separating yourself from your competition. Writing articles on LinkedIn will engage more of your current connections, attract new connections, and most importantly will generate more leads for your business. HubSpot did a recent study that showed that LinkedIn had the highest visitor-to-lead conversion rates among all social platforms. In fact, LinkedIn’s conversion rate of 2.74% is almost 300% higher than Twitter of Facebook.

Schedule an hour or two every week to write a blog on your industry, services or ideas and I promise your business will reap the benefits.
